Pallet Flow Racking Systems
Pallet flow racking is also known as active pallet racking. Pallets move smoothly on rollers. The pallet in front is removed from the front of the rack, while other pallets are held back. Thanks to the automatic braking as well as a combined load guide and end stop unit, pallet movement is always safe and smooth. The two main types of active pallet racking are Gravity FIFO (First In First Out) Active Storage System and Pushback LIFO (Last In First Out) Racking.
Gravity FIFO Active Racking The loading area is at the opposite end of the picking area where the pallets move along a roller system that forms a slightly inclined rail, and it operates by utilizing gravity. FIFO pallet racks are indispensable for locations where stock rotation is high.
Pushback LIFO Racking There is only one loading and unloading area at the front of the racking system and the pallets are stored by pushing the previous pallets towards the back of the racks, so that the last item stocked on the rack has to be removed from the rack first. It is recommended not to be used in storage areas where stock rotation is relatively high.

Pallet flow racking systems are innovative racking systems used in the storage and logistics field, which provide orderly and efficient storage of products. This system is widely preferred especially in the storage of palletized products. It is basically based on a mechanism that allows a material to move automatically along the shelves. This mechanism usually consists of an inclined structure and rollers, reels or systems that allow the pallets to slide. In this way, significant advantages are achieved in warehouse management.
Pallet flow racking systems are systems that offer maximum efficiency in which pallets move by gravity. It maximizes storage capacity. With this feature, it is preferred in areas with high-density storage. It is a system that works on the first-in, first-out principle. In this way, it also facilitates inventory control.
In this system, also called Followrock, pallets are placed on a module. The module has wheels and rollers. The system can be installed in a size suitable for the needs of the business. The ends where the pallets are loaded and unloaded are different. In pallet flow rack systems, when a row is full, the pallets automatically flow to the next row and loading can continue.
